Dear residents and guests,

in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we inform you that video surveillance is in operation on the premises for the purposes of property protection, damage prevention, and assistance with guest arrivals and departures.

Cameras do not cover private areas (rooms, bathrooms, or spaces inside apartments).

Purpose and Legal Basis

Video surveillance is conducted for the following purposes:

• Protection of property belonging to the operator and guests
• Prevention of damage (burglary, vandalism)
• Organisation of arrivals and departures (check-in / check-out)

Legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
A balancing-of-interests assessment has been conducted: the interest in protecting property and guest safety outweighs any interference with privacy, as cameras do not cover private areas.

Retention and Access

• Recordings are retained for 30 days, after which they are automatically and permanently deleted.
• Access to recordings is strictly limited to the data controller.
• Recordings are disclosed to third parties only upon request by competent authorities (police, court) or in connection with a damage claim.
• Recordings are not transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — you may request confirmation of whether your data is being processed and obtain a copy of relevant recordings.
• Right to erasure — where retention is no longer necessary or legally required.
• Right to restriction — you may request temporary suspension of processing in certain cases.
• Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Signage

Video surveillance is indicated by warning signs at all entrances to the monitored area, in accordance with the guidelines of the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.
