Izola:

Izola is small – you can walk from one end of the old town to the other in barely fifteen minutes. However, because of its small size, it’s easy to make a wrong turn: end up at a restaurant with a wonderful view but mediocre food, park in an expensive parking lot just fifty meters away from a cheaper one, or land on concrete slabs when a beautiful pebble beach is hidden just ten minutes away.

Parking in Izola, like in any coastal town, is a challenge. The central Lonka Parking is a great option, but in the middle of summer it is already completely full by 8:30 AM; moreover, it is expensive and offers no discounts for 24-hour parking. Ladjedelnica Parking is located right at the entrance to the old town, while for an evening visit to Casa della Pizza restaurant, the open-air Argo parking lot is the most convenient.
